This is something that I have been reflecting on for a few weeks now and am curious to see what all you have to say.
That is YOUR greatest gift TO humankind? "Gift" meaning that personal characteristic or quality that has the greatest effect in your daily life and relationships to others.
What fuels your gift?
How is your gift expressed?

I think my greatest gift to humankind is my happiness and as an extension of that, comfort. It seems that happiness is like my turbo boost for everything I do. When I am happy, I feel like I am more comforting and present to others, effective in my work, aware of what's around me, intuitive and creative. For awhile now and for various reasons, my happiness has been diminished. I've even had times of downright unhappiness. That's what helped me figure it out. Along with that, I'm learning about what fuels my happiness.
Honestly, I think my Baptist upbringing really kept me from discovering this. I've always felt some bit of guilt when I would do things that made me happy, and I struggled with bitterness towards God when I had to "give the glory" to him for achieving happiness. I earned it afterall...and it is mine to give. I find giving happiness and comfort very fulfilling.

Laura, I did the "Spiritual Gifts" test you linked on your blog. From my new perspective, I came up with craftsmanship, hospitality, and mercy. So, that made me think that "Comfort", as a combination of hospitality and mercy is probably the actual gift to humanity.
Happiness is definitely a turbo boost for my ability to provide that comfort to others.
