I'm wishing I was an only child for xmas (or xfuss as a friend on facebook called it today!). LOL!
Christmas Eve will be spent with my mom and sisters and their spouses and children (large very fundy family - yeehaw!).
Christmas day we stay home and veg out. We nap, play video games, play board games, and eat. I'm most looking forward to Christmas Day!!

This year, we'll go to my husband's parent's house with his sister and her husband and their two-year old. We'll probably watch movies, open presents and go to Mass (joy!).

We are driving all day Christmas eve day to my partner's parents house, opening a ton of presents (and dropping off the equally large ton we had to buy for the family we're not seeing, for his folks to haul to another state for him), then getting up the next morning to drive 4 hours to stay in a 4BR resort condo with my mom, her husband, both my stepsisters & their partners, and their total of 6 children. For a week. I am actually excited about getting to spend time with my family, but it's going to be insane, and skipping his family Christmas gathering didn't allow us to skip the assload of presents they require.

I guess poverty is good for something. Everyone in my family is getting cookies.

Well, my family only gives presents to kids. It's possible not to be ridiculous even if you can afford to.
Though I'm learning my problem is not with them, it's with him. If he thinks this whole present thing is important he needs to take charge of it and do it early instead of procrastinating until I take charge of it.

My family only gives presents to kids, too. There aren't too many, so it's pretty manageable.
We're going there on Christmas Eve, but coming back home to celebrate amongst ourselves.

Everyone I know is getting cupcakes There are so many people I would like to give something to, but the amount of funds I devote to Christmas presents would probably mean everyone would get a whistle, or a badge or something equally plastic and useless. So I figured I'd spend some time making some baked goods with love, and I can satisfy my gift giving urges without breaking the bank!! I'm really looking forward to Christmas actually. We will spend Christmas Eve with my fiance's family (they're Hungarian, and celebrate it on the 24th) and then we'll spend Christmas with my family. My grandparents are coming over from New Zealand, so I'm excited about that. That and the food. Omg, I love Christmas food.

thiswormwine, that's what I'm doing. Everyone is getting fudge and cookies, and they will like it.
